TRAVEL SAFELY

Practical advice

PLAN YOUR TRIP
If this is your first stay, plan short stages, build your itinerary using our "Prepare your stay" section or book a turnkey stay in the Stay Offers section.
EQUIP YOURSELF !
Have your bike serviced a few days before departure (tires, lighting, brakes, etc.), don't forget your water bottle, your helmet and your safety vest. Think of the first aid kit for your bike as well as for you.
NB: Wearing a helmet is not compulsory (except for children under 12) but strongly recommended. Wearing a certified retroreflective vest is compulsory for all cyclists (and their passengers) traveling outside built-up areas at night or when visibility is insufficient.
FOLLOW THE PANELS
The circuits, marked in both directions, are indicated by terminals symbolized by pictograms birds. Each circuit is represented by a different bird. Take the time to check your route before setting off.
At crossroads, arrows on the ground show you the direction of traffic.
On the sides, police signage informs you of the rules to be observed and the possible dangers: stopping, crossing a wooden footbridge, dangerous crossroads, exiting vehicles, whether the lane is reserved only for cycling or not ...
WEATHER VIGILANCE
Do not forget to dismount when you pass a wooden footbridge by wet weather or you are crossing on a railroad track.
RESPECT THE ROAD CODE
The tracks are two-way - except the section between Saint-Valery-sur-Somme and Noyelles-sur-Mer, respect the meaning of traffic, drive to the right.
On the slopes, the speed is limited.
By electric bike, be sure to control your speed.
BE FAIRPLAY
The cycle lanes in the Baie de Somme are shared spaces.
On greenways, give priority to pedestrians and signal yourself.
TRAVEL ECORESPONSIBLE
Nature is fragile, let's respect it!
Do not pick a plant that you do not know, it could be a protected species. Bring your waste with you, favor local and seasonal purchases, stay on the marked trails. The Baie de Somme is a high place for migration, observe the fauna that surrounds you without disturbing it.
REPORT A PROBLEM
Formulaire de signalement

EMERGENCY ROOM !
